The Universe

The Universe
The world is round,
But no one knows,
If our sight is true,
Water is clear,
Yet blue,
Pink is pink,
But also red,
Just like me and you,
But no one knows,
If our sight is true,
If we see upside down,
Then why is it the right way up,
Things are true,
And things are false,
Things are right,
And things are wrong,
So what is right and what is wrong?
Thats for me and you.

Christmas

Christmas

Christmas,
My favourite time from all the year,
Full of joy and cheer,
Spending time with family,
And eating christmas dinner,
There are smiles all around,
Snow falling on the ground,
Saving the biggest present ‘till last,
And getting ready for a new year.

The Lady of Shallott - beginning of a prologue.

'T'is the fairy' the whispers sang,
And the blue-bells simply rang,
The diamonds in the sky they hang,
Above the witch and her gang,
In for Camelot.
She's the mother of Lancelot,
She maybe good or maybe not,
She trapped her there, left to rot,

He loved the girl upon the motte,
In the tower of Shalott.

All About Me!

All About Me.

I am Bethan Edgar,
I am 10 years old,
I am in year 6, and I live in South Wales.
I like art, reading and poetry.

These are some of the poems I have written, I hope you enjoy them!

At the beach

At The Beach.
Oh I love beaches,
So calm,
and nice,
Their sounds,
Their fun,
But most of all their sights.
Everything about them,
Its so peaceful.
The wind,
Kissing me on the cheek,
And the sun watching down on me.

The Lady of Shallott (my version)

The Lady of Shallott (my version)

No time hath she to run and play,
For she weave all night and day,
The building far from Camelot,
Is were she lay said Lancelot,
Far from any living thing,
The Lady of Shallott.

She never knew who trapped her there,
All it did was give her nightmares,
Where to in old Camelot,
That concrete building does embower,
Her beauty is like a flower,
The Lady of Shallott.

From the tower at last I’m free
But now the curse is upon me,
Now I must go to Camelot,
One last word I have to say,
To Sir Lancelot,
Said The Lady of Shallott.

The Vision

The Vision

I look at the scene,
A snowy floor,
I look at the door,
Silence,
A starry night,
And beautiful lights,
Shining among the glassy rooftops,
The vision enchants me,
Takes me to a different dimension,
But the world is wonderful,
A world of peace and friendship,
The night is better than real,
Soon I will have to go,
But I will be back,
To rethink the vision.
